Highlights of Sherwood
Robin Hood Theme
Campers are fully immersed in the magic of Sherwood Forest with a Robin Hood theme. Campers even get to make their own Sherwood tunic and hat!
Sherwood Faire
The week culminates with our beloved Sherwood Faire, in which campers get to play a variety of classic faire games. They may even get to meet Robin Hood and Maid Marian!
Hamlet Community
Campers experience a tight kinit community within their hamlet (a grouping of huts) in which they adventure, share meals, and swap stories together.
What To Expect
Sherwood Forest is magical experience for 3rd through 5th graders.
Campers arrive Sunday afternoon and leave Friday afternoon.
We provide 15 kid friendly, creative meals. Some breakfasts and dinner are cooked over a fire and are camp favorites! We can accommodate most dietary restrictions and try our best to offer quality substitutes.
Campers stay in gender specific huts with two cabin leaders 18+ years old per hut, which are then grouped in “hamlets.”
Campers have morning hamlet adventures where they learn about Jesus. Even Campfire is also a time of worship and teaching.
Camper can pick from a range of supervised activities in the afternoon, including swimming in the Loch, making candles, or visiting the Sherwood Store. Campers may deposit cash to create a store account at check in. Please note that we cannot keep credit cards on file for store accounts.
We have an on site nurse, as well as 12 hour/day services in Oakhurst. Please note that the camper’s family insurance plan is the primary source of coverage while attending Calvin Crest.
Registration and final payments will be due two weeks prior to the camp start date. A $75 non-refundable deposit is required with registration per camper. All non-refundable deposits are applied toward the total tuition due. Refunds are not guaranteed for cancellations made within two weeks of the camp start date. Campership applications are available below.

2024 Pricing Tiers
Realizing that families have different abilities to pay, Calvin Crest offers a Three Tier Pricing Program. Individuals who donate to Calvin Crest’s Campership fund make this program possible.
All card transactions will have an added fee of 2.5%. We strongly encourage selecting the ACH payment option when making any payments, which does not add any additional costs to customers.
Tier I - $700
This tier most accurately accounts for the true costs of running summer camp sustainably.
Tier II - $615
This is our partially subsidized fee for those who can pay an amount closer to the true cost of camp.
Tier III - $530
This is our historically subsidized rate and only covers a portion of our costs.
More About Tiered Pricing
You may choose the tier that is most suitable for your family. This is an honor system; you tell us what is affordable for your family. All campers receive the same exact Calvin Crest experience no matter what they choose. For those families that cannot afford Tier 3, additional financial assistance is available through camperships to ensure that all campers have the wonderful opportunity to attend camp. If you feel the financial burden of sending multiple campers to camp or signing up for multiple sessions, you're welcome to use the tiered system to subsidize your overall costs.
Camp Scholarships
Thanks to generous donations from Calvin Crest donors, we are able to offer partial scholarships, or “Camperships,” to those who would otherwise not be able to attend camp. 100% Camperships are not available, but we do encourage you to partner with your local church if you require additional assistance.
Please note, if a camper is attending multiple camp sessions, a Campership can be applied to only one camp session. In 2022, we awarded 91 Camperships totaling $22,661! Don't miss out. Fill out the scholarship application online today!
