Tony was a camper before there were cabins. “We used to sleep out on the grass in the apple orchard…” he is fond of remembering. He came on staff in 1974 as a lifeguard at the pool. In the following two summers he floated between the Sherwood Forest, AIM, Outpost, and High School teams.
Tony worked and taught in the graphic arts industry for 14 years before coming back on staff at Calvin Crest in the summer of 1992 as program director. He has served as executive director since 2010.
In 1976, Tony married Christel Eisenhower who he met through her brother Phil his first summer on Calvin Crest staff. Tony and Christel have three children (Simon, Taylor, and Hillary) and five grandchildren (Ben, Jack, Paloma, Pax & Avery).
