We offer three morning Adult Breathing Spaces and kids programming during this time. Every evening we gather for family Campfire, as well as other optional fun activities.

Jason Johnsen & Sam Farinacci

Session 1 Speakers - June 23-28, 2024 "Finding Your Kingdom Family

Jason Johnsen and Samantha (Sam) Farinacci met at California Lutheran University where they became best friends while co-leading a Christian Club. They received degrees in English (Sam) and Communications (Jason). They both went on to Fuller Theological Seminary where they got married, and Sam completed her master’s degree in Theology and Jason in Divinity. Professionally, Jason went from being a Christian Summer Camp Director, to a full-time Youth Pastor, to the Senior Pastor of Oakhurst Lutheran Church, where he currently has been serving for almost 7 years. He loves the outdoors, playing guitar, reading, eating, and laughing. For the past 13 years, Sam has enjoyed working at Oaks Christian Online School where she develops online spiritual formation and Christian education for 6-12th grade students and provides chaplaincy care for the faculty and staff.  Outside of work, Sam is into her pet llamas, hiking, reading, and training for a 6-mile swim in Bass Lake, which she plans to complete at a snail’s pace. Sam and Jason are still best friends.

Craig & Marcy Wright

Session 2 Speakers - June 30-July 5, 2024
"Thriving Through Appreciative Inquiry"

Craig and Marcy’s journey began in 1981 at Bethany Bible College, where their shared calling to ministry blossomed. By July of 1982, they embarked on their marital and ministerial journey, blessed along the way with three boys and three girls. Now empty nesters, they revel in the joy of four grandchildren, enriched by their understanding of family dynamics.

Marcy’s ministry path led her to foreign missions work and Children’s ministry, while Craig has served as a Pastor in various denominations, including the Assemblies of God, the PCUSA, and currently, ECO. Craig presently leads as the pastor of Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Modesto, CA, holding a Doctor of Ministry in Preaching from McCormick Theological Seminary, with a focus on organizational change through “Appreciative Inquiry.”

2024 Family Camp Rates

The cost of Family Camp is the program fees for each person in the family attending, plus one lodging fee for the whole family unit. For example: Family A is bringing 2 adults and 2 children ages 14 and 11. They choose to stay in a Mountain View Cabin. Their cost will be $525 (Mtn View) + $340 (Adult A) + $340 (Adult B) + $290 (14 year old) + $240 (11 year old) = $1735.

All card transactions will have an added fee of 2.5%. We strongly encourage selecting the ACH payment option when making any payments, which does not add any additional costs to customers.

Program Fee: Per Person

Lodging Fee: Per Family

Ages 0-3 = free

Westview = $350

Ages 4-12 = $240

Mountain View = $525

Ages 13-17 = $290

Cedar Lodge = $700

Ages 18+ = $340

Camp Scholarships

Thanks to generous donations from Calvin Crest donors, we are able to offer partial scholarships, or “Camperships,” to those who would otherwise not be able to attend camp. 100% Camperships are not available, but we do encourage you to partner with your local church if you require additional assistance.

Please note, if a camper is attending multiple camp sessions, a Campership can be applied to only one camp session. In 2022, we awarded 91 Camperships totaling $22,661! Don't miss out. Fill out the scholarship application online today!
